Leadership

Tim Taylor
Head Pastor
Tim has been the pastor at Hope Church since 2007. Prior to coming to Hope Tim worked at Coopersville Reformed, Taylor University, North Park Reformed and Spring Hill Camps. Tim received his undergraduate degree from Taylor University and received his Master’s degree from Bethel Seminary. When Tim is not working he’s spending time with his wife, Tricia, or actively participating in fatherhood with his four children – Annah, Gabe, Kari and Ben.

Tricia Taylor
Children's Director
Tricia stepped into leadership of Hope Children’s Ministry in 2012. Tricia has experience in Children’s and Student ministry for over 20 years and is passionate about raising a generation of Hope kids to know, love, worship, and experience God. Tricia has her degree in Occupational Therapy and teaches violin and piano. In her spare time she enjoys playing music and all kinds of outdoor activities like swimming, biking, hiking, and running. But, her favorite thing to do is spend time at the beach with her husband Tim and their four amazing kids, who have more than anything been the biggest gift in her life other than Jesus!

Matt Schulte
Youth Director
Matt accepted the youth pastor position at Hope in June 2014. Before coming to Grand Haven he worked with Young Life in Grand Rapids, and was the youth pastor at Oakhill Church also in Grand Rapids. Matt graduated from Kuyper College with a Youth Ministry major and Bible minor. Matt has a love for student ministry and spending time with kids on their turf. He is married to Kari and the couple have two boys. When Matt has free time he likes to play video games, crawl around on the floor with his son, and watch Baseball. Read Matt’s Blog

Mike Tatu
Worship Director
Mike joined Hope as the full time Worship Pastor in November of 2018. Before joining Hope’s team he spent a lot of time remodeling out houses in the Appalachian Mountains. Repurposing and remodeling old outhouses is a dirty job, but Mike dove right in! It was at one of these outhouse remodels that he met his wife, Alicia. They left the outhouse life and moved on to bigger and better projects working on tiny houses. Their love of tiny houses inspired them to make a tiny human, named George, who is 1 year old. Mike hopes to take his experiences in tight spaces to show people that God is using them for big things.

Becky Miller
Kids Hope USA Director
Becky joined Hope’s staff in 2004 as the Kids Hope USA director. Kids Hope is a mentoring program that is paired up with Peach Plains Elementary. The program consists of one mentor going and meeting with one student each week for an hour. They work on school work, play games, have conversation, and build a friendship. Becky has a passion for children, for seeing them be the best they can be, and to have an opportunity to achieve that. Becky is married to Jeff, and they have two children, Johnny, and Abby.

Sheila Riley
Office Manager/Volunteer Coordinator
Sheila Riley joined the staff in May 2014. Her job is to work with the volunteers to equip everyone to accomplish what we are striving to do here at Hope. She has been married to Tim Riley (Kirby House) for 30 years and has two teenage children, Erin & Liam. She enjoys music of all kinds, family time, good friends, vacations in far-away places (like Australia), movies and having people recall good meals she has prepared for them. Being close to God is what she treasures most.

Rhonda Twa
Custodian
Rhonda joined Hope as the full time custodian in 2007 with her husband, Matt. Before working at Hope, Rhonda worked in advertising, sales, customer service, and marketing. She graduated from Davenport University with a business degree focused on marketing and sales. Rhonda is married to Matt and they have three children. They enjoy being together as a family, spending time in nature, and getting together with their extended families. A few of Rhonda’s favorite verses are Romans 8:28, Psalms 27:14, and Psalm 28:7

Michelle Dickson
