Day 6—January 17: A Church That Loves Like Jesus
Scripture: John 13:34–35
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another".
Prayer Prompts:

•Ask that our love would be a visible witness to the community.
•Pray that relationships would open doors for the gospel.

Father, I pray that we will be able to love one another, the way that you love us! I pray that this love that we would have for one another would be a sweet aroma to our community and that others would be drawn to Your love. I pray that our arms will open wider to those around us too. That we would always be willing to love more people as you give us the opportunity to.

nPlease add your thoughts and comments to this section too. I chose to put this on our blog instead of just having a paper copy so that people would/could interact with one another too.
This morning I awoke to alerts from my work. Some important IT systems had crashed overnight. The issues were caused by what turned out to be a simple mistake by a co-worker. I was given an opportunity demonstrate grace and compassion for this individual rather than blame and finger-pointing which is very common in stressful situations like this. In my past, I was a part of the finger-pointing crowd. I pray that in the future I can continue to handle situations like this with love.
