Leadership

Tim and Tricia have been  at Hope Church since 2007.   They love getting to serve together in the Grand Haven community and seeing lives changed because of Jesus!  They have four children--Annah, Gabriel, Kari and Ben.  

Matt accepted the youth pastor position at Hope in June of 2014. Before coming to Grand Haven he worked with Young Life in Grand Rapids, and loves spending time with kids on their turf. This relational style of ministry is rooted in 1 Thessalonians 2:8 - "Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well."  He is married to Kari and the couple have three children, Oliver, Graham, and Elouise.

Mike joined Hope as the full time Worship Pastor in November of 2018. Before that time he worked at Ada Bible Church in Grand Rapids for about 15 years. He has a deep passion to engage the presence of God with others in thoughtful praise, wonder and devotion. He spends a lot of his free time writing songs, screaming at his tv during Denver Broncos games and hanging out with his wife Alicia and his son George.

Becky joined Hope's staff in 2004 as the Kids Hope USA director.  Becky has a passion for children and watching them succeed, and to be the best version of themselves they can be.  Becky is married to Jeff (still going strong after almost 29 years!) and the couple have three children, Johnny, Abby, and her husband Zach. Becky's favorite things to do are spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, camping, reading, bible study, vacationing, hiking, taking walks, and enjoying all of God's amazing creation.  For more information about Kids Hope USA visit https://kidshopeusa.org or contact Becky below.

Shelia is our go-to person for questions. She has been on our office staff since 2014 so she knows how to get you connected to what is being done here at Hope. Specifically, call or email her to book church events, add weekly announcements, or request prayers. She also works with other community organizations to prevent families from becoming homeless or having their utilities shut off.
Sheila is married to  Tim and has two children,  Erin & Liam. Their loving family enjoys cooking meals, good music, and vacationing together. Sheila loves being involved in Hope’s Small Group Studies and attending the Women of Hope Gatherings. Being close to God is what she treasures most.

Rhonda joined Hope as the full time custodian in 2007 with her husband, Matt. Rhonda loves using her gift of hospitality to make people feel seen, heard, and loved in the midst of both the highs and lows of life. Before working at Hope, Rhonda worked in advertising, sales, customer service, and marketing.  Rhonda is married to Matt and they have three children. They enjoy being together as a family, spending time in nature, and getting together with their extended families. A few of Rhonda’s favorite verses are Romans 8:28, Psalms 27:14, and Psalm 28:7

Michelle joined the church staff in 2023 as the Finance Director and has been attending Hope since 2019. Prior to being a stay at home Mom, Michelle worked in finance and now uses her experience here. "It's great to be part of what God is doing at Hope and do what I am called to do, by God."   While her official role at Hope is the Finance Director, Michelle also volunteers leading the Connection Desk on Sunday mornings and can often be seen wearing her green "Welcome Team" shirt. She loves to help people feel welcomed! Her favorite place to be is at home with her family enjoying their goats, chickens, dogs, garden and her pool. Michelle is married to Eric and they have two kids, Abigail and Miles.
