21 Day Prayer Guide

Day 4 –January 15:  From Compassion to Action
Scripture: James 2:14–17
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds?  Can such faith save them?  Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?  In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by actions, is dead.  

Prayer Prompts:
•Ask God to show you where faith must become action.
•Pray for a Church that doesn’t just care, but steps toward people.
•Ask the Holy Spirit to remove apathy and replace it with loving obedience.

God, show us where our faith must become action! And show us the right action. This is a perfect prayer for us today as the weather over the next few weeks is only going to get worse. God, help us to join you in long time solutions instead of short term. Help us to do what You desire God, instead of what makes me feel good about myself.
